2012 Kid's Fishing Derby

The 2012 Annual Kid's Fishing Derby host around 130 kids and ther families in May. The annual event has been going on for decades. At the kids check in they receive a bag of goodies including fishing gear from the Rotary Club to donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, pencils, pens, hand sanitizer, gum, cowboy scarves and toys from other Rotarian businesses. Check in is at 6:00 a.m. with weigh in at 11:00 a.m. Both lakes of the Conconully can be fished. During checkin, the Rotarians have a warm fire, hotdogs, cookies and drink for the kids and their families. There are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each age group and then the over all "Glen Deal Memorial Winner". This is an even that is enjoyed by all, Rotarians, Kids, Parents, Grandparents and others who come just to watch the weigh in and the excitement of the kids.
