Each year in early August the Omak Stampede draws thousands of visitors and contestants for a week of rodeo and fun.  The two newly constructed Beer Gardens open in the evening hours to slake the thirst of many participants, and Rotarians sell tokens, keep the beer (and wine coolers, water and soft drinks) and Pendleton Whisky flowing and clean up the mess in the morning.  The fee Rotary receives from the Stampede management is the second largest single fundraiser of the year.
