Okanogan Omak Rotarians renovated the Woody Island walking trail in south Okanogan.
Okanogan Omak Rotarians had a long work day at the Woody Island Trail just south of Okanogan. The Rotary Club of Okanogan Omak spread over 300 tons of gravel on over 3/4 mile of the trail. We had 25 Rotarian and community members come out to help spread gravel, drive machinery and feed volunteers. Rotary provided a BBQ lunch and beverages for all volunteers. Rotarians and community members donated the use of tractors and skid steers to move gravel and then compact the gravel paths.

A special thank you to Pape Machinery for donating the equipment rentals, Kiwanian Brent Yusi for donating extra prep days and expert skid steer driving of his own skid steer, Stan Carter for prep days and use of his skid steer and the City of Okanogan for hauling 22 dump truck loads of gravel for us.

We hope that members of the community can enjoy the trail improvements for many years to come!
