The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Baccalaureate Scholarship Application 2023
The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club will award a $2,500 Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship to an Okanogan and an Omak High School senior who is pursuing a four-year degree and who exemplify the Rotary Motto of “Service above Self”.
The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship Application 2023
Rotary is an international charitable organization comprised of professional and business leaders whose goals are humanitarian service, high ethical standards and the promotion of goodwill and peace around the world. The motto of Rotary is “Service Above Self”. The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club has served our communities since it was officially chartered.
The Okanogan-Omak Rotary Club will award a $2,500 Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship to an Okanogan and an Omak High School senior who is pursuing a four-year degree and who exemplify the Rotary Motto of “Service above Self”.
Eligibility Requirements
- Student is on track to graduate from Okanogan or Omak High School by the end of the current school year
- Student has been accepted to and plans to attend a 4-year accredited institution of higher education during the 2023-24 school year. Copy of acceptance letter required.
- Student demonstrates that s/he reaches out to others through community service either locally, regionally or internationally.
- Student completes and emails the Application Packet along with transcripts and letters of recommendation by April 21, 2023 to Nancy Nash-Mendez at nancy@okanoganhousing.org. Please use the following email subject line: 2023 Rotary Scholarship application
- Scholarship recipient will be notified on May 8, 2023.
Application Process
- Complete an application packet; available from the high school guidance/counseling department or online at Okanogan-OmakRotary.org (2023 Rotary Baccalaureate Scholarship Application)
- E-mail the completed application packet to Nancy Nash-Mendez at nancy@okanoganhousing.org by April 21, 2023
Completed Application Packet Includes:
- Application with essay responses; be sure to include student and parent signatures
- Two letters of recommendation
- Copy of college/university acceptance letter
- Official high school transcript; if Running Start student, then official college transcript also
Scholarship Timeline:
- April 10, 2023: Applications will be available in Okanogan and Omak Counseling offices and online at Okanogan-OmakRotary.org
- April 21, 2023: Completed Application Packets should be emailed to nancy@okanoganhousing.org
- May 8, 2023 Finalists will be notified of scholarship award and Press Release mailed to the Omak-Okanogan Chronicle, posted on the Rotary Facebook page, and on the Rotary website.
